Job summary

Food Lion in Charleston, SC (2144 Savannah Hwy) seeks dedicated staff for the Perishable Department to provide quality customer service and maintain standards in line with our practices. The role focuses on maximizing sales through excellent service and minimizing shrink through proper product handling.

Responsibilities include stocking, receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and ensuring meat, dairy, frozen and other perishable items are properly displayed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use ACIS and CAO for ordering and inventory processes.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store merchandise appropriately.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise complies with policies.
