Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Customer Service Associate for the Perishable Department in USA-MD-Berlin. You will maintain product levels, assist customers, and support stock, receiving deliveries, and proper display. This role emphasizes fast, friendly service and adherence to Food Lion standards.

Wages range from $16.60 to $24.90 hourly, with equal opportunity employment. Previous experience in retail or perishables is a plus, and you’ll complete CBT and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fast, friendly and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use ACIS and CAO tools.
• Receive deliveries, code, rotate and store properly.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying follow policies.
• Maintain product levels in meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream sections.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat as directed.
• Assemble, disassemble and clean the grinder as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department.
• Maintain layout and ensure advertising materials are used.
• Follow Food Lion guidelines and safety procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
