About the role:

The Peripheral Vascular Consultant role requires a candidate with strong clinical skills who can excel in a team setting. Key duties include developing new accounts and expanding product use within existing accounts to meet sales targets aligned with company goals to increase revenue. The role involves selling and promoting products within a defined geographic territory. We seek energetic, driven, and passionate individuals who view this as a career, not just a job.

Boston Scientific’s products are used to diagnose and treat conditions within the arterial and venous systems, such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and more. We innovate continuously, extending our reach into new markets and geographies, offering solutions like Angiojet, Zelante DVT, thrombectomy catheters, EKOS, guide wires, drug-eluting stents, balloons, atherectomy devices, and IVUS. Our pipeline is robust, and we invest in interventional treatments that improve patient lives.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Selling products by scheduling sales calls with current and potential customers to meet revenue and unit growth objectives.
  2. Developing and implementing sales strategies considering product, competition, and pricing factors to promote our products effectively.
  3. Creating action plans based on sales reports and figures to identify and address account needs, collaborating with the Regional Sales Manager.
  4. Assessing customer needs, goals, and case types by engaging with physicians and hospital staff to determine suitable products.
  5. Observing procedures in hospital labs and operating rooms to understand physician and staff nuances.
  6. Establishing pricing packages in collaboration with relevant personnel to meet customer needs within company policies.
  7. Responding to customer inquiries and complaints by developing feasible solutions, working with clinical research, marketing, or pricing teams.
  8. Building relationships with hospital personnel through meetings, conferences, and casual interactions to identify key decision-makers.
  9. Managing clinical activities across cases and territories.
  10. Educating customers on product benefits and clinical usage through presentations and demonstrations to secure purchase commitments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent in sales and education.
  • At least 2 years of experience in medical device sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree with a successful sales background, especially in radiology labs and physician engagement.
  • Strong clinical, analytical, and sales skills.
  • Ability to manage numerous accounts effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and coachability to succeed in selling our venous and arterial portfolio.

The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $135,000, plus variable incentives based on sales performance, benefits, and other organizational needs, as detailed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Compensation depends on experience, education, certifications, and organizational requirements.
