Job summary

RiseMe is seeking an OR support technician to assist anesthesia teams by preparing IVs and setting up IV lines for surgeries in Columbus.

This role requires strong teamwork, the ability to work evenings and on-call shifts, and calm, decisive action in life-threatening situations. A high school diploma and BLS are preferred.

Candidates with healthcare experience and knowledge of surgical procedures will fit well in this fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Overview:

Schedule: Evenings (2p-10:30p), M-F, 40 hrs./week with on-call, weekend, and holiday call responsibilities.

• Assists anesthesia team by creating all IVs and IV setups

• Previous IV experience helpful

• Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxisback stands

• Team-structured work environment with high amounts of collaboration required

• Responds effectively and efficiently to life-threatening situations

• Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs, setup, and routine maintenance.
• Assists OR team with room turnover, patient beds, and transportation of case carts.
• Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment.
• Transports patients, labs, gross specimens, and blood, as necessary.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Certifications:

BLS Certification, preferred.

Skills:

• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Self-starter who requires little or no supervision.
• Ability torespond appropriately tolife threatening situations.
• Effective multitasking, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
• Ability to workunder pressure in a stressful environment.

Experience:

Previous health care experience, preferred.
