UF Health is seeking a Perioperative Technician to maintain operating rooms and equipment. You will support the OR team by securing supplies, restocking rooms, and assisting with patient positioning, transferring, and transporting within Perioperative Services.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and comfort with computer systems. Teamwork and adaptability are essential in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities

The Perioperative Technician responsibilities are to clean and maintain the Operating rooms as well as all equipment; secure supplies for OR team, and restock rooms. Patient care will include positioning, transferring and transporting patients within the various areas within Perioperative Services.

Schedule

FTE 1.0

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Days: Monday-Friday

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Licensure/Certifications

Required: BLS issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days from the date of hire.

Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), or medical Assistant (MA)

Experience

Required: Less than one (1) year of patient care (i.e. nursing assistant/surgical tech/ MA), Supply chain, Operating Room or relevant medical equipment experience

Preferred: 3-5 years patient care, Supply Chain, OR, or relevant medical equipment experience
