Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team. The role requires preparing and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies under RN supervision and with the surgeon, using sterile and aseptic techniques in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or military surgical technology program.
• NBSTSA certification required within one year of hire date.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Scrub role; select, prepare, and maintain instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
• Apply sterile and aseptic technique and adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations.
