Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support perioperative care across our facilities in central North Carolina. The role emphasizes patient safety, procedural efficiency, and teamwork within a busy surgical suite.

Required qualifications include completion from a nationally accredited surgical technology program, BCLS certification, and attainment of an accredited surgical technologist credential within 12 months of program completion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally accredited surgical technology program.
• Obtain Accredited Surgical Technologist certification within 12 months of program completion.
• BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Maintains clinical and professional competency levels in perioperative care.
• Demonstrates organizational skills and computer literacy within service provided.
• Surgical technologist is not permitted to perform first assistant activities such as independent tissue manipulation, cutting, ligating, or suturing.
