Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Surgical technologist program with accredited sponsorship.
• Maintain Surgical Technologist certification within six months of hire.
• Completion of a U.S. military surgical technology training program.
• Previously employed as a Surgical Technologist at a Penn Medicine facility on/before Dec 29, 2020 or in a primary surgical tech role within two years prior to that date.
• Basic Life Support Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms and assist in case setups.
• Assist in instrument handling and counts.
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of surgical specimens.
• Respond to emergencies with the team.
