Job summary

Highland Hospital, a 261-bed community teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Rochester Medical Center, is recruiting a Perioperative Support Tech to join our operating room team. The role involves preparing supplies, assisting with room turnover, and transporting patients and instruments in a fast-paced OR environment.

This full-time position requires day/evening shifts Monday through Friday with weekend/holiday call; responsibilities include lifting/moving duties and maintaining

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 6 months previous related experience preferred.
• License/Certification: American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification Required.
• Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, able to lift, bend stand, walk for extended periods of time; mechanical aptitude; team player.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care in the Pre-anesthesia and OR areas by gathering supplies and equipment.
• Assists with room turnover and setting up specialty beds as needed.
• Transports patients, instrumentation and supplies; maintains safety and cleanliness of the OR environment.
