Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care is seeking a Perioperative Aide to support the Surgical Services department. The role involves preparing and distributing case carts, equipment, and positioning supplies to the perioperative team, and ensuring inventory of anesthesia equipment is maintained.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills. The work schedule is 36 hours per week, with shifts Fri, Sat, Sun 7:00am-7:30pm, and employer-paid medical, dental, and vision

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute surgical case carts according to physician's preference lists and anticipated needs of the perioperative team.
• Prepare and distribute equipment and positioning supplies according to the anticipated needs of the perioperative team.
• Maintain inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies, including anesthesia carts, and the anesthesia supply areas.
• Assist in transporting patients and equipment as needed.
• Follow established protocols for transporting equipment, supplies, and other items.
