Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care – North Liberty Campus is seeking a Perioperative Supply Chain Associate to coordinate supply chain activities for clinics and operating rooms. You will use Excel, SPM, and Tableau to locate supplies, manage inventory, and respond to emergencies with hospital staff.

Responsibilities include procuring goods, maintaining inventories, reviewing contracts, vendor relations, data management, and budget awareness. Full-time on-campus role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 months to 1 year related supply chain experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Prompt communication with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests.
• Ability to move throughout hospital, move up to 25 pounds, and frequently transport heavy case carts.
• Ability to move and position self to handle inventory, including high/low shelving.

Responsibilities

• Procure and deliver goods and services: evaluate, procure, receive, store, and deliver goods and services; initiate requisitions to procure goods and services at the direction of others.
• Organize and maintain hospital inventory.
• Research products, prepare product/equipment specifications, and contract management: obtain and verify information regarding sourcing options and review contracts for pricing and terms.
• Inventory management and marketing: receive, store, distribute product, address inventory issues, implement marketing strategy.
• Assist with inventory management throughout the hospital including cycle counts, restocking, and receiving products.
• Vendor and customer relations: interact with vendors and internal/external customers; reconcile discrepancies and address concerns.
• Work with hospital staff to communicate supply chain requests and resolve issues.
• Data management: maintain inventory/equipment databases and scan inventory data.
• Fiscal responsibility: monitor budget and advise on needs/ discrepancies.
• Leadership: may supervise staff and provide training to employees.
