Job summary

OrthoVirginia in Virginia is seeking a PACU Manager to lead the PAT, Pre-Op, and PACU teams within a high-performing ambulatory surgery environment, delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered perioperative care.

This leadership role partners with physicians and administrative leaders to optimize clinical quality, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and financial performance, while mentoring staff and advancing continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Virginia.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• At least 5 years of clinical leadership experience in perioperative/PACU.
• Working knowledge of AAAHC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily PAT, Pre-Op, and PACU operations to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and AAAHC; maintain accurate clinical documentation and readiness.
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate PAT, Pre-Op, and PACU staff; manage staffing and scheduling.
• Manage cost control, supplies, inventory, pharmacy-related functions, and payroll for direct reports.
• Develop and revise nursing policies, procedures, and staffing models; participate in committees and special projects.
