Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operating room teams in California. The role covers a 40-hour work week with an 8-hour schedule, under a 13-week assignment, focusing on perioperative patient care and instrument handling.

The successful candidate will assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, coordinate equipment and staff flow, and uphold patient safety throughout the perioperative phase.

Qualifications

• Experience in surgical settings preferred.
• Prior exposure to operating room protocols recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
• Coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff
• Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase
• Participate in patient care planning and assessment
• Support nursing treatment and care processes

Skills

Surgical experience

Education

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience in surgical settings preferred
