Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for CV Labs Pre/Post Surgery. This full-time role supports Afternoon/Evening and Nights shifts in the Heart Center, with varied shift options.

The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, documentation, and coordination with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Required ADN with progress toward BSN, 2+ years nursing experience, and Kansas compact RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Nurse license (RN) in a single state or a compact license.
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical nurse experience.
• ADN prepared nurses hired after Feb 24, 2017 must complete BSN within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care through assessment, documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care delivery and education with patients, families and health care team.
• Follow organizational policies to ensure safe patient care.
• Demonstrate required clinical competencies for the assigned unit/department.
• Perform other duties as assigned as needed.
