Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for CV Labs Pre/Post Surgery with afternoon/evening and varying shifts, including full-time days/nights. The Clinical Nurse II will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care and education, and follow unit-specific plans to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Requirements include ADN (with BSN pursued within five years for those hired after Feb 24, 2017), 2+ years as a Clinical Nurse, Kansas RN license (or compact), and BLS.

Qualifications

• ADN required for hires; BSN must be completed within 5 years of RN employment when applicable.
• 2+ years of experience as a Clinical Nurse.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Kansas or a Kansas compact license; BLS/BCLS within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care through assessment and accurate documentation for patient comfort and well-being.
• Follows a plan of care based on unit competencies for the target patient population.

Follows organizational policies in providing safe patient care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Required Licensure and Certification

• Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing (Kansas) or compact license
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
