Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced perioperative RN to provide quality patient care across scrub and circulating roles in the OR. You will collaborate with the surgical team to plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care plans across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities include coordinating the OR team, maintaining sterile technique, ensuring patient safety, and participating in quality assurance programs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the required jurisdictions or compact license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care in accordance with nursing philosophy, standards and laws.
• Functions as scrub or circulating nurse in surgical specialties.
• Directs coordination of OR team in perioperative care.
• Develops perioperative nursing care plans for each patient.
• Maintains safe environment for staff, physicians and patients.
• Communicates information to maintain continuity of care.
• Keeps current knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Handles and processes equipment and instrumentation used in surgery.
• Participates in OR Quality Assurance program.
• Pursues continuing education and professional growth.
• Demonstrates professionalism and respectful conduct in the OR.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
