Job summary

Trios Health in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) for the Operating Room. This union position provides circulating RN support through the perioperative pathway and requires active WA RN licensure with BLS and ACLS as needed.

You will assess patients, prepare the OR, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and PACU to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care. Prior OR experience is preferred and warranted for PRN shifts.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license (Washington)
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school
• BLS required; ACLS as required by department
• Previous Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop perioperative plans of care.
• Provide circulating RN support during procedures.
• Verify patient ID, surgical site, consent, and documentation.
• Maintain patient safety and sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Prepare OR, equipment, supplies, and medications for procedures.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition to the team.
• Complete accurate perioperative documentation.
• Administer medications within scope of practice.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, PACU, and other staff.
• Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
• Participate in emergency procedures and respond to changes in condition.
• Follow infection-prevention and patient-safety standards.
