North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Op/PACU. The role focuses on preoperative prep, post-anesthesia recovery, and seamless perioperative care in a high-volume center affiliated with Baylor Scott & White.

The RN will perform patient assessments, administer medications, educate families, and ensure safety and documentation in line with Joint Commission standards.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Texas RN license current.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect care in PreOp and PACU for inpatient and outpatient surgery.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Conduct preoperative assessments to determine readiness for surgery.
• Monitor anesthesia recovery and discharge readiness.
• Administer medications safely per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on preop and postop care.
• Maintain equipment proficiency for perioperative care.
• Assist in admission and discharge and participate in on-call rotation.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Respond promptly to emergencies per hospital protocols.
