Rebound Surgery Center in Vancouver, WA is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for Pre‑Op and Post‑Op care. You will support perioperative care, ensure safety and efficiency in the operating environment, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license in good standing.
• Maintain BLS through AHA.
• Maintain ACLS through AHA.
• Willingness to complete PALS as required by AHA.
• Associate or BS Degree in Nursing strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document pre-operative nursing assessments including H&P, consent, allergies, NPO, and meds reconciliation.
• Validate patient identity, procedure, and site per policy and safety standards.
• Assess risk factors and readiness for anesthesia and surgery; escalate issues as needed.
• Educate patients and families on pre-op expectations, pain control, discharge instructions, and follow-up.
• Ensure infection control measures pre-op skin prep and environment controls.
• Receive handoff from anesthesia and OR using standardized tools.
• Monitor patient status until safe discharge criteria are met.
• Provide post-op care including airway support, pain control, wound care, and mobility help.
• Ensure ASC post-anesthesia care requirements are met by qualified staff.
• Reinforce discharge teaching and home care instructions.
