Job summary

University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center is seeking an experienced OR RN to join a fast-paced surgical team. You will scrub and circulate across a broad range of specialties, focusing on patient safety, efficient case flow, and high-quality perioperative care.

This part-time night role offers collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities for professional growth within a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland or MBON compact eligibility.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2–3 years Operating Room RN experience required.
• Prior scrub and circulating experience required.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent perioperative care across diverse surgical cases.
• Scrub and circulate surgical cases with focus on safety and outcomes.
• Independently circulate across specialties in a fast-paced OR.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Apply evidence-based practice and ensure medication safety.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
