UofL Health's Jewish Hospital in Louisville offers a paid Perioperative RN Training Program for registered nurses, a six-month, full-time course combining online learning with hands-on labs and clinical practicum to prepare you for operating room nursing.

Participants work with a nurse preceptor, complete shadowing, and may be offered a full-time OR position after graduation. Weekend/holiday rotation and on-call requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Paid perioperative nursing training program.
• Six-month duration with online curriculum and hands-on labs.
• Full-time commitment during training.
• Shadowing requirement and BSN progression encouraged.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care under supervision of a clinical nurse manager.
• Administer medications and monitor effects per policy.
• Plan and revise care with the multidisciplinary team for optimal outcomes.
• Identify patient problems and implement care plans collaboratively.
• Educate patients and families and promote safety and discharge readiness.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
