Job summary

Cody Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the OP/PACU, responsible for comprehensive perioperative care from preoperative assessment through PACU and discharge. The RN collaborates with anesthesia, surgeons, and the care team to ensure patient safety and optimal flow.

Requires an active Wyoming RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 2 years in acute or surgical services. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Active Wyoming RN license (or multistate/NLC)
• Perioperative nursing knowledge and patient education experience
• Minimum 2 years in acute care or surgical services preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive preop and postop nursing assessments.
• Plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care.
• Coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, and other team members for safe patient flow.
• Educate patients and families pre- and postoperatively.
• Ensure discharge criteria and documentation meet provider requirements.
