Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Valley Park, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Perioperative to join the operating room team. This role focuses on direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.

You will scrub and/or circulate, educate patients and families, and maintain sterile technique while collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN with Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree and Missouri license.
• 2–5 years of OR nursing experience.
• RN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families about the perioperative process and resources.
• Scrubs and/or circulates for various surgical procedures.
• Prepares instruments and maintains sterile technique per safety requirements.
• Maintains patient safety and supports team during surgery.
• Contributes to orientation and professional development as needed.
