Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to function as Circulator and PACU nurse, coordinating intraoperative and postoperative care. The role requires collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient advocacy, sterile technique, and post-anesthesia recovery management, with orientation at Weeks Medical Center in NH.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS are required; PALS preferred; CNOR and/or CPAN/ CAPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate during the surgical procedure.
• Perform preoperative verification and surgical time-out.
• Maintain sterility of the operative field and aseptic technique.
• Anticipate and provide necessary supplies during surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to optimize workflow and patient safety.
• Manage intraoperative documentation, including counts, specimens, implants, and events.
• Respond to intraoperative emergencies and support the team.
