Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Perioperative Circulating Nurse to provide comprehensive perioperative care in the operating room, coordinating patient care across the perioperative continuum. You will work with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary OR teams in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, preparing ORs, and supporting evidence-based practice and quality improvement. RN experience and a nursing degree are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Evidence of baccalaureate degree in nursing by five years from RN start date for certain hires.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care as a Circulating Nurse in the OR.
• Coordinate patient care throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Prepare ORs, maintain sterile technique and uphold patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary OR teams.
• Support evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
