Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a highly skilled registered nurse for a full-time daytime role. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer treatments, and document progress in the electronic medical record.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated care and positive patient outcomes. The role requires Florida nursing licensure, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work shifts with flexibility.

Qualifications

• RN license and eligibility to practice in Florida.
• Hospital or surgical unit experience preferred.
• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on physical, emotional, and social health status.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings, setting goals and outlining interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary and documenting progress in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient care issues and ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to empower them in managing their health.
• Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, maintaining a professional rapport with all team members.
• Ensure safe and effective handoff communications by using standardized communication tools during shift changes and patient transfers.
• Perform and oversee complex patient care interventions while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Provide discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home or another care setting, addressing the patient’s needs and resources.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development to maintain clinical competencies and improve patient care.
• Maintain detailed records of patient care activities to support continuity of care and prevent errors.
