Monroe Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is a 32-bed community hospital in Bloomington, Indiana, dedicated to quality and compassionate care. Monroe Hospital is actively seeking a qualified RN for perioperative duties.

The Registered Nurse coordinates patient care with the surgical team, adheres to hospital standards, and participates in performance improvement initiatives. Required: current RN license and BLS; CNOR preferred; ACLS and PALS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directing OR Technician and other personnel.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and adherence to regulations, policies and procedures.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
