Job summary

Duke University Health System is hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. You will provide and supervise total nursing care in a dynamic perioperative setting, collaborating with surgeons, technologists and staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Prerequisites include 1+ year OR experience; RN licensure in North Carolina and BLS; BSN preferred or in progress with required timelines for degree completion.

Qualifications

• 1+ year operating room experience preferred; CN2 role requires at least 1 year RN experience.
• Graduation from an accredited BSN or higher nursing program; ADN or Diploma accepted.
• All RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 2 years and complete within 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care in the OR setting.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the perioperative environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care.
