Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to deliver comprehensive perioperative care from preop to postop. You will lead the intraoperative team, ensure patient safety, and collaborate across disciplines to optimize outcomes.

The role requires strong clinical expertise in perioperative nursing, critical thinking, and the ability to manage complex patient care in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in TN required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Direct and coordinate activities of the healthcare team to ensure patient safety.
• Lead in patient-centered care and monitor patient outcomes.
• Respond to extreme emergencies and manage challenging clinical situations.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients about illness, diet, activity, and lifestyle changes.
