Job summary

The Health Care Authority for Baptist Health, An Affiliate of UAB Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise nursing staff on shift and coordinate weekend/holiday coverage, ensuring continuity and quality of patient care using the nursing process.

The role requires an active RN license and BLS certification, with a BSN preferred; additional certifications may be required by area. Collaboration with physicians and clinicians is essential to implement patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required; BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required; Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending on area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel on shift and during weekends/holidays to ensure quality patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, planning of care, and interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in care planning and implementation.
• May have additional duties within scope of the role.
