Job summary

Rebound Surgery Center in Washington state is seeking relief status Registered Nurses to join our perioperative team. You will provide safe pre‑op and post‑op care, support surgical excellence, and help maintain a safe operating environment.

Candidates must be WA-licensed, with required BLS, ACLS, and willingness to complete PALS. One year of pre‑op, PACU, critical care, or emergency nursing and EMR experience preferred. Associate or BSN in Nursing strongly desired.

Qualifications

Active Washington State RN license in good standing.
BLS through AHA required; ACLS through AHA required.
Willingness to complete PALS as required.
Associate or BSN degree or Diploma in Nursing strongly desired.
Minimum 1 year experience in Pre‑Op, PACU, critical care, or emergency nursing.

Responsibilities

The Pre‑Op & Post‑Op RN provides safe, evidence‑based nursing care to patients before and after surgical or procedural interventions at Rebound Surgery Center. The RN ensures compliance with federal Conditions for Coverage, Washington State licensure rules, and AORN perioperative nursing standards.
Pre‑Operative Nursing Responsibilities: perform and document pre‑operative nursing assessments, verify H&P, consent, allergies, NPO status, medication reconciliation, and required diagnostics; validate patient identity, procedure, and surgical site per policy; assess risk factors and readiness for anesthesia; provide pre‑operative patient and family education; ensure infection control measures.
Post‑Operative Nursing Responsibilities (PACU): receive handoff from anesthesia; monitor airway, respiration, oxygenation, hemodynamics, pain, temp, LOC; provide post‑op interventions including airway support, pain/nausea management, wound/IV care, mobility assistance; ensure compliance with ASC post‑anesthesia care requirements; reinforce discharge teaching.
