Job summary

Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery is seeking a relief Operating Room Nurse (RN) to join our ambulatory surgery center surgical care team. This role provides direct patient care in the OR, supports perioperative procedures, and ensures a safe, efficient operating environment for all ages.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of surgical circulating experience and 1–3 years in an ambulatory surgery center, with Washington RN licensure and BLS/ACLS per AHA standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred, but not required.
• Washington State RN License registration required.
• AHA accredited BLS required.
• AHA accredited ACLS required.
• 1-2 years surgical circulating experience required.
• 1 to 3 years of ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
• Scrub experience desired but not required.

What You Will Do:

Provides direct patient care to surgical patients in the ambulatory surgical setting. The OR RN is accountable for the patient outcomes resulting from the nursing care provided during the surgical or invasive procedures. Provides nursing care of patients of all ages using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Registered Nurses apply knowledge drawn from broad, in-depth education in the social and physical sciences in assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching, and providing nursing care which promotes the patient’s optimum health and safety. A wide range of general nursing skill is required. In addition, development of special knowledge and skills appropriate to the specific position is necessary.

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in both the scrub and circulating roles.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
• Collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
