Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with policies and standards. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for varied patient populations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Must hold PA RN license (or eNLC), CPR certification, and pass background clearances. This role emphasizes patient education, documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR - American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population. (30%)
• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population. (20%)
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication. (25%)
• Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care. (20%)
• Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor. (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
