Job summary

St Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, IL is seeking a Staff RN for the OR/perioperative setting. You will work full-time days (7a-3:30p) delivering direct and indirect patient care under the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services.

The role requires an active RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with perioperative experience. CNOR and BSN are preferred. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, guiding OR team
• Ensure adherence to regulations, standards and hospital policies
• Participate in performance improvement activities and unit meetings
