Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems, Cobb Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Periop Nurse for our surgical services team. The role focuses on high‑quality patient care, coordinating perioperative workflows and inter-disciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, evidence‑based outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Georgia with at least 5 years of direct patient care in perioperative settings and demonstrates a commitment to voice of the patient and system standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia and eligibility for practice.
• Knowledge of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and standards.
• Experience delivering evidence-based nursing in perioperative settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) for surgical patients.
• Provide patient-centered care across perioperative phases.
• Coordinate care and document with the health team and care managers.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to nursing staff when needed.
