Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pre- & Post-Surgery Unit. The role supports the Main PACU, OR, and Ambulatory Surgery suites, providing pre-operative preparation, education, and discharge instructions.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Nursing and CT RN license; 2+ years of medical-surgical inpatient experience is preferred, with telemetry/step-down experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Two or more years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an Inpatient Acute Setting; telemetry or step-down experience encouraged.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications preferred/post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in a fast-paced unit focused on pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery.
• Educate patients, follow universal protocols, and ensure safe discharge with proper instructions.
