Job summary

Memorial Hospital - Chattanooga is seeking a Pre/Post Surgery RN to integrate the nursing process into daily practice and tailor care to each patient’s evolving needs. You will deliver safe post-anesthesia care, coordinate staff, and manage a fast-paced clinical setting with meticulous attention to patient status.

Requirements include TN RN licensure, CPR, ACLS and PALS within defined timelines; BSN preferred with 1 year in preoperative or ICU settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensed in Tennessee on hire.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications required or obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient post-anesthesia and post-procedure care.
• Apply the nursing process, delegate, and coordinate support services.
• Monitor patient status, document changes, and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients on illness, lifestyle, and readiness to learn.
