Job summary

The Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team in Minnesota. You will provide perioperative care as a Circulating Nurse, coordinate patient care across the perioperative continuum, and prepare ORs with sterile technique.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams, support evidence-based practice, and participate in ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• RN graduate from a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• If RN start date is after Apr 1, 2020, provide documented evidence of a baccalaureate degree in nursing within five years from start date.
• Additional qualifications include excellent communication, teamwork, computer skills, flexible hours, leadership and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care as a Circulating Nurse in the OR.
• Coordinate patient care throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Prepare ORs, maintain sterile technique and uphold patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary OR teams.
• Support evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
