Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team as a Circulating Nurse. You will provide perioperative care in high-acuity surgical cases and coordinate patient care across the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Current RN license in applicable state.
• BLS required; additional state licensure or specialty certifications may be required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care as a Circulating Nurse in the OR.
• Coordinate patient care throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Prepare ORs and maintain sterile technique to uphold patient safety.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary OR teams.
• Support evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
