Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to join the operating room team in Edmonds, WA. The RN will work under the OR director and charge nurse to ensure patient safety, aseptic technique, and efficient intraoperative operations.

The role requires nursing licensure in WA, perioperative experience, BLS, and ACLS or eligibility within 3 months. A sign-on bonus is offered for external candidates, with a comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license through the Washington State Department of Health.
• Minimum of six (6) months of perioperative nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the health status of the patient to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Develops a nursing care plan including goals and interventions.
• Implements the plan to provide optimal care.
• Instructs patient and family for ongoing health status improvement.
• Documents nursing activities for continuity of care and quality improvement.
• Identifies patient and procedure to ensure correct site.
• Plans and coordinates transfer and transport of patient.
• Positions patient for access to the operative site and safety.
