Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) for the Gonda 7 unit, focusing on perioperative and pre/post‑operative care in the outpatient setting.

The RN will deliver direct patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with anesthesiologists and proceduralists. A current RN license and BSN are required, with opportunities for leadership and professional growth within Mayo Clinic’s nursing practice model.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program, recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA.
• One year of professional RN experience is required.
• All entry-level RN start dates on/after Apr 1, 2020 must show BSN within five years from start date.
• All entry-level RN start dates before Apr 1, 2020 must show BSN as required by prior program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient setting; perioperative care in the OR as circulating RN.
• Coordinate and deliver perianesthesia care in the pre-post area; provide moderate sedation under supervision.
• Plan, implement, evaluate nursing care; educate patients and families; orient peers.
• Demonstrate leadership and effective communication; participate in quality improvement efforts.
