Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont, TX seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide independent, comprehensive patient care in a perioperative/related setting. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients, coordinating with the team to meet goals and contingencies.

Requires a BSN preferred, TX or compact RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Minimum experience: 1 year with orientation and ongoing competency requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Current PALS certification required.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements.
• Perioperative RN Residency or recent OR/perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
