Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting the minimum standards set by the State of Alabama.
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Upon Hire.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 90 Days.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification within 30 Days.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 Days.
• TCAR - Trauma Care After Resuscitation certification within 180 Days.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies.
• Provide for patient safety during surgical procedures.
• Participate in counting all sponges, instruments, etc.
• Document all care information accurately.
• Manage direct patient care of assigned patients scheduled for surgery.
