Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our full-time team. You will provide direct perioperative care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients and act as a patient advocate within the surgical team.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, IL RN license, CPR/BLS, and ideally a BSN with perioperative experience. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with on-call nights and weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing is required.
• BSN preferred.
• IL RN License is required.
• CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• Experience: 2 yrs RN perioperative experience - Preferred.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period and acts as a patient advocate.
• Assess the surgical environment for patient safety concerns and intervene with the surgical team to facilitate procedures.
• May assume responsibility for orientation of new staff and educational programs, and securing/maintaining supplies and equipment.
