• BLS certification; ACLS required for certain units.
• Relevant clinical experience; specialty certification required for certain practice areas.
• Current (within 2 years) ICU experience required.
• Previous EP experience strongly preferred.
• Previous moderate sedation experience strongly preferred.

Position Overview

Registered Nurse – Cardiac EP Lab (Per Diem) at BostonMedicalCenter. Works as part of the Electrophysiology patient care team, assisting with patient assessment, medication administration, moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and circulating during procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality‑improvement projects.
• Assist in pre‑ and post‑patient assessment and teaching during invasive procedures.

Job Requirements

• Licensed RN in Massachusetts.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS required for certain units.
• Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience; specialty certification required for certain practice areas.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language – a plus.
