Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pre & Post Surgery Unit. The role involves preparing patients for surgery, providing education, and performing Phase 2 assessments with discharge instructions.

Position Purpose

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre & Post Surgery Unit delivers patient care to support the Main PACU, Main Operating Room, and Ambulatory Surgery suites. This includes preparing patients for surgery, providing education, and following universal protocol. The RN also provides Phase 2 assessment, teaching, and discharge instructions.

Required

Minimum Qualifications

Position Highlights And Benefits

• Full-Time – 32 hours/week – Day Shift.
• Monday thru Friday, no weekend or holiday commitment.
• Unit hours are 5:30 am to 6:30 pm.
• Variable start times, ranging from 5:30 am, 8:30 am, or 9:30 am, depending on assignment to pre- or post-operative teams.
• Participation on both pre- and post-operative teams is required.
• Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95
