Qualifications

We currently have an opening for a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) in Spokane, WA. The RN is responsible for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs.

Schedule

Full Time 1.0 FTE (in-person)

Holidays

Observance of 9 holidays per year

Compensation

Pay range: $33.79 - $57.94/hr. Placement within this range depends on qualifications, experience, and education.

  1. Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in perioperative areas, including Pre-op Holding, Operating Room, and Phase I Recovery Room.
  2. Perform assessments, interventions, circulating, IV starts, airway management, aseptic techniques, and other high-acuity skills to ensure patient safety before, during, and after surgery.
  3. Collect and analyze assessment data to identify diagnoses/issues, considering physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs, and interpret this information for care planning.
  4. Develop expected outcomes and a care plan addressing health promotion, maintenance, and restoration, involving patients, families, and healthcare team members in a culturally appropriate, individualized approach.
  5. Implement the care plan and coordinate care delivery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital (preferred)
  • Experience in Pediatric Orthopedics (preferred)
  • RN license in the state of practice (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • PEAR, PALS, ACLS certifications (required)
