Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• BSN must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• One year of relevant clinical experience required; two+ years preferred.
• Licensed to practice as RN in Virginia; AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-operative and post-anesthesia nursing care for patients across multiple service lines.
• Perform detailed patient assessments and monitor for complications with rapid intervention.
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams for safe care transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative expectations and discharge instructions.
• Utilize clinical judgment to respond to changing patient conditions.
