Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Orthopedic and Robotic Surgical Services perioperative team. You will provide comprehensive perioperative care and assist in robotic and general surgeries at our main campus in Albany, NY, with opportunities to mentor staff and develop skills in evolving robotic techniques.

The role requires NY licensure as a PA or NP, ACLS/BLS, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant degree program OR Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with RNFA training.
• Must be licensed and actively registered as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
• HIPAA compliant at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons across diverse procedures including robotic-assisted surgeries.
• Perform first-assist and second-assist duties in the operating room.
• Collaborate with perioperative nursing staff and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Participate in mentorship and training across multiple surgical specialties.
