Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic and Robotic Surgical Services perioperative team. The role offers hands-on exposure to robotic technology and collaboration with experienced surgeons across specialties on a busy surgical service at the main campus in Albany, NY.

Ideal candidates are licensed NY PAs or NPs with RNFA training, ACLS/BLS, and a track record of excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Formación

• Completion of appropriate education: PA degree or NP with RNFA training.
• Licensed and actively registered as NY PA or NP.
• Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
• HIPAA compliant at all times.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons during procedures including robotic-assisted cases across multiple specialties.
• Perform first- and second-assist duties in the operating room.
• Collaborate with perioperative nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Engage in mentorship and ongoing professional development within a collaborative team.
• Document encounters, operative notes, and findings per regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
